I am such a fan of fresh sustainable seafood and my favorite place to eat and buy all my seafood is at Santa Monica Seafood. Check out my lunch today! Isn’t it beautiful?
When in San Diego I highly suggest staying at The US Grant hotel. Classically decorated, this hotel is not only full of history but has beautiful rooms and impeccable service. The food at Grant Grill is pretty good too!
I always look for places where locals eat when I travel and Venice Ale House is it when cruising down Venice Boardwalk. This healthy organic restaurant showcases art from local artists and provides food from local farms and beer from local breweries.
Grab a table outside and enjoy people watching. Never a dull moment in Venice!
Hanging in San Diego and a must eat for dinner is Cucina Urbana. First you must know it is impossible to get a reservation but what makes the place an incredible experience are the servers at the bar, most especially Bobby & Connor. So try to score a seat at their first come first serve bar area and let these two guys take you on a food and wine journey.
Not only did they recommend the perfect wine but I had an incredible octopus appetizer to go with the perfectly burnt brussels sprouts, a delicious tagliatelle carbonara, an incredible mushroom pizza and of course a unique twist to tiramisu.
I left happy, full and a new App suggested by Bobby for wino’s like me!
Isn’t this the epitome of summer eating? Fresh seafood under a lighthouse over looking the bay on a warm summer night. Seriously total happiness. Check out Whiskey Reds in Southern California.
